About

Welcome to our web-site. Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education is part of a statewide system of more than 100 connected adult learning programs and centers from Kittery to Fort Kent and everywhere in between.

Our administrative offices are located in Wells High School, 200 Sanford Road (Route 109). The offices are located in the first floor lobby area. Our office hours are Monday and Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Most of our classes are held at the high school. If a class is scheduled at another site it is indicated in the course description. Many of our Health and Wellness classes are held at the Wells Activity Center and the Wells Elementary School, both of which are located nearby on Route 109.

Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education is a service of the Wells-Ogunquit CSD. Our mission is to provide quality continuing education and cultural opportunities for all community members and their families.

The Adult Education team includes:

Director: Chrisopher Chessie, cchessie@wocsd.org; Evening Coordinator: Mary Angelini, mangelini@wocsd.org; and Administrative Assistant: Tammy Daly, tdaly@wocsd.org.

Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education  offers courses in 5 major categories:

Business & Skills Traning courses help prepare Maine citizens by providing the modern skills training necessary for new careers, promotions, and other career advancement.

College Transitions courses assist people of all ages wishing to make the transition into college-level courses.

HiSET & High School Completion courses help people complete their high school education.

Literacy courses give people the guidance, support, and training neccessary to improve their literacy and English language skills and the skills of their family.

Personal Enrichment courses include lessons in skills such as cooking, music, finances, foreign language, and also include a variety of unique and fun experiences including travel and cultural experiences.

In any economy, Adult Education courses are great choices because they are local, affordable, and are designed to fit within your schedule.
